USA JOBS – Controls Engineer – Fives
Job Description:
Industrial control systems, PLC software, and HMI screens are developed and put into service for various environments and industries.
Responsible for the creation, installation, on-site debugging, and commissioning of PLC/HMI code.
Programming of peripheral devices and machine PLCs, as well as coordinating machine power-up, debugging, and validation with the build and electrical teams.
Make certain that systems are created and programmed in accordance with client and/or DyAG build standards using accepted practices and methods.
Visit customer locations for system installation and startup.
Experience/Skills Needed:
Controls engineering, PLC, and HMI programming experience of at least two years
2+ years of expertise in Siemens Step 7 (TIA Portal, WinCC) or Rockwell Allen Bradley (Controllogix OR RSLogix OR Studio 5000) PLC programming.
Other PLC platforms from companies like Omron, Mitsubishi, GE, etc. are also useful.
A plus is having prior experience designing hardware with AutoCAD, Promise-E, or ePlan.
The capacity to create programs, codes, or ladder logic from nothing
A history of product integration and commissioning for the automotive industry.
Programming experience using standards and templates defined by the customer
Proficiency with several field bus networks, such as DeviceNet, Ethernet I/P, ProfiNet, and others, is a plus.
Education:
Engineering AS or BS degree. Electrical engineering, computer science, or a related field is ideal. A degree can be substituted with an equivalent number of years of experience.
